Much preparation went into the programme prior to the Pope’s arrival in Britain which to the Roman Catholic faithful, was an extremely important spiritual and cultural occasion. We wish to look into the background teaching of this church in relation to the events which took place leading up to this historic visit. Can the preparations be considered “Christian” - that is, how do they measure up to the teachings of Christ and the Apostles, as set out in the Bible, the Word of God?
